The CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead Game Studios, Sham Jorjani, has shared his perspective on Grand Theft Auto 6's upcoming launch, expressing a favorable view of its console-exclusive, single-player-focused initial release. Jorjani stated that he is "selfishly happy" that GTA 6 will not be available on PC or feature an online mode immediately upon its debut.

This strategic launch, according to Jorjani, will allow Helldivers 2 to "keep crushing it in our own space" and prevent GTA 6 from becoming an immediate, all-consuming market force. He acknowledged Rockstar's reputation for creating "ridiculous, high-effort stuff" and expressed admiration for the studio's ability to produce such ambitious titles. Jorjani noted that Rockstar possesses the "brand power to confidently take their time and run their classic play," a contrast to developers who might chase trends. He believes this approach allows Rockstar the freedom to meticulously develop its games over extended periods, confident that the core experience will be compelling and ultimately "raise the bar."

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. While the developer has not officially announced a PC version, it is widely expected given the precedent set by Grand Theft Auto 5, which initially released on consoles before a later PC port. Similarly, although Rockstar has described GTA 6 as a "single-player experience," the company has not definitively stated whether an online mode will be absent at launch. It is anticipated that Rockstar will eventually integrate an online component, analogous to GTA Online for GTA 5, though details remain unconfirmed.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for release on November 19. The game arrives amidst considerable anticipation, fueled by a 13-year wait since the launch of its predecessor, GTA 5. The recent "Extended Look" trailer for GTA 6 premiered on August 27. The anticipation has been further amplified by numerous significant gameplay leaks, which Rockstar has described as "heartbreaking" for the development team.
