Arrowhead Game Studios is taking steps to combat cheating in Helldivers 2 by implementing a new policy designed to detect players who acquire in-game currency at an "unreasonably high rate." The developer acknowledged community frustration over cheaters who exploit the Super Credit system, impacting the game's economy and the sense of fair play.

Under the new measures, the game will identify players earning currency significantly faster than even the most dedicated legitimate players. Arrowhead stated that these changes target "cheaters, botters, people that use automation and duplication exploits." The studio claims to have the tools to intercept these fraudulent earnings at the source, preventing exploited currency from being used within the game. These measures are intended to preserve the value of Super Credits and ensure a fairer experience for all players.

These anti-cheating updates will extend beyond Super Credits to encompass other reward currencies, including Medals, Samples, and Requisition. Arrowhead aims to address these issues proactively to maintain the integrity of the game's progression and economy.
