Atom Eve's new 'Casual' costume in the 3v3 tag fighter Invincible VS has ignited significant player excitement, with fans enthusiastically embracing the character's altered appearance. This response follows a trend of community discussion around Atom Eve's weight gain, a narrative element present in both the show and its comic source material. Players have expressed a strong preference for this version of the character, with social media posts highlighting the costume's popularity.
The developers at Skybound Games recently introduced Angstrom Levy as a playable character alongside several alternate costumes, including Atom Eve's 'Casual' outfit. This new design, which features a noticeably heavier build, has become a focal point for player discussion and appreciation. Comments on social media platforms reveal a widespread desire for this version of Eve, with one user stating, "We ALL copping Everyday Eve, right?" Another player humorously remarked, "Invincible better be able to fight," while a third declared, "The people yearn for thicc Eve."
This embrace of body diversity in female character design is being noted by some players as a positive development, particularly within the fighting game genre, although it is a trend that is becoming more prevalent in recent titles. The inclusion of Atom Eve's 'Casual' skin aligns with Invincible VS's recent approach of incorporating meme-worthy elements, exemplified by Mark's 'Duct-Tape Man' costume and the addition of Agent Spider as a playable fighter.
Invincible VS was released earlier this year and received a score of seven out of ten from IGN. The game was praised for its "hard hitting and fast paced 3v3 tag fighting" which was described as "a gust of fresh air, especially for those who miss the two-way interactable combo system of Killer Instinct."
The animated series Invincible is set to return for its next season on Prime Video in early 2027, and has already been renewed for a sixth season, making it the platform's longest-running animated series to date.
