August begins with a slate of significant game releases, including Game Freak's fantasy action-adventure title and Arc Systems' new tag-team fighting game. Among these are also releases that may have flown under the radar, such as the alternate-history military simulation game, Iron Nest.
Iron Nest places players in the role of a heavy artillery operator piloting a dieselpunk spider-tank. The core gameplay involves supporting comrades on the front lines by bombarding enemy positions. Players must interpret messages from command and soldiers in the trenches to formulate their actions, then utilize intricate analog controls for precise calibration. This approach was noted in a preview as feeling "tactile and absurdly meticulous," with the potential to be "satisfying."
Several other titles are also slated for release throughout the week. On Monday, August 3, PC players can expect Flow of War, Kin and Conquest, Anomaly President, Dead Zone Revive, and Cyber Farmer. Tuesday, August 4, sees the launch of Beast of Reincarnation for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, alongside Big Walk on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. D-Hopper and Zero Racers are scheduled for Switch and Switch 2, while Final Fantasy XIV (port) will be available on Switch 2. Kynseed will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Switch.
Mid-week releases on Wednesday, August 5, include Akatori, Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story, and Kill The Shadow for PC. Parkasaurus: Dinoluxe Edition (port) and The Division Resurgence will also be available on PC. Thursday, August 6, brings a more diverse lineup. Ao Oni 2 (port) and Doloc Town (1.0 release) are coming to PC, with Ao Oni 2 also releasing on Switch. IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator is set for PC release. Capy Castaway will launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC, while Changeable Guardian Estique (port) will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. Lies of P: Complete Edition (port) arrives on Switch 2, and Echobreaker and Montabi will be available on PC, with Montabi also on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road (port) is set for Xbox Series X/S, and ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs is a PC release.
