The Ironmouse Sprite, a special in-game item, is now available for players to claim in Fortnite. This addition commemorates the popular VTuber's streaming anniversary on August 4. However, Ironmouse herself has teased that this may not be the extent of her presence in the battle royale, hinting at additional content planned for September.
During a recent stream, when questioned about a potential Fortnite skin, Ironmouse stated, "Just a Sprite today. Period." She followed this by alluding to an upcoming subathon in September, suggesting that "a lot of cool things are happening." This has led to speculation about future collaborations or content drops.
The Ironmouse Sprite can be acquired through various in-game methods: players can search for Sprite Chests scattered across the map, defeat opponents who are already using the item, or occasionally find it randomly wandering the island. Once equipped, the Sprite occupies a new inventory slot, appearing on the player's back. Its primary function is to grant the ability to regenerate health over time when a player's health is low. Additionally, while regenerating health, players will gain a Cloak, providing partial invisibility, and experience a low-gravity effect.
Shortly after its release, some players reported issues with the Ironmouse Sprite. These included instances where the item was not granted upon extraction from a match or finding empty Sprite Chests. Ironmouse commented on these early problems, stating, "If it's broken, I'm sorry, it wasn't me." Following several hotfixes implemented by Epic Games, it appears that these issues have largely been resolved, allowing players to more consistently obtain and use the Sprite.
