Jack in the Box is collaborating with Marvel Studios for an official Avengers: Doomsday meal, available starting November 5. The "Doomsday Dipper Box" features a combination of returning fan favorites and new Avengers-themed additions.
The meal includes bite-sized popcorn chicken, mozzarella sticks, two of Jack's tacos, curly fries, and a drink. Both the popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks are making a comeback and will also be available for individual purchase. Fans will have the opportunity to choose three Avengers-themed dipping sauces from a selection that includes existing and new flavors.
The sauce options are "Assemble Sauce," a new mystery flavor, "Mutant Marinara," a returning limited-time offering, and "Fantastic Buttermilk Ranch," a classic Jack in the Box sauce. Promotional images suggest the mystery "Assemble Sauce" may be yellow, possibly indicating a hot or honey mustard flavor. The packaging for the Doomsday Dipper Meal will be themed with Dr. Doom's signature green.
Beyond the food, the collaboration also includes collectible magnets. Each Dipper Meal comes with one of eight blind-bagged magnets that can be assembled into a larger puzzle. Featured characters on the magnets include Dr. Doom, the Invisible Woman, Gambit, and Thor.
This is not the first time Jack in the Box has partnered with popular franchises; the chain is currently offering a meal tie-in with "The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror." The fast-food company's chief marketing officer, Katelyn Zborowski, stated that Jack in the Box aims to "collide fandoms" by merging popular culture with their food offerings.
The Avengers: Doomsday promotion is part of a broader marketing push for the film. Marvel has also recently partnered with Major League Baseball for a crossover event and will feature new movie previews during the MLB World Series. Dunkin' Donuts is also set to launch its own Marvel collaboration soon, indicating a significant marketing effort leading up to the film's release.
