A theme park in Nagasaki, Japan, is set to launch an escape room experience based on the Netflix series Alice in Borderland, which will feature participants wearing "bomb collars" capable of delivering real electric shocks. The attraction, named Alice in Borderland: Immersive Death Game, is scheduled to open at Huis Ten Bosch theme park on August 27, 2026.

The immersive attraction aims to replicate the high-stakes, deadly challenges seen in the series, which is itself based on the manga by Haro Aso. The story follows Arisu, an avid gamer, and his friends as they navigate a dystopian Tokyo, forced to participate in lethal games tied to the suits of a deck of playing cards.

Participants in the new attraction will face a "Heart" challenge, a suit in the series that tests emotional resilience. As depicted in the "Jack of Hearts" game from the show, each player will wear a "Bomb Collar." Failure to complete the 30-minute game within the allotted time will result in consequences. One of the available images shows a close-up of the black "bomb collar" device, which appears to be strapped around the neck.

Huis Ten Bosch, Japan's largest theme park, has implemented safeguards for the attraction. Participation is restricted to individuals aged 15 and older. Those with pre-existing medical conditions such as high blood pressure or pacemakers are prohibited from joining. All participants must sign an agreement before engaging in the experience.

While participation is included with a park "Passport" ticket, visitors interested in the Alice in Borderland attraction must also secure a free, same-day timeslot ticket via the park's website. Huis Ten Bosch, known for its Dutch-style architecture and canals, has previously collaborated with various anime and fictional properties, including Evangelion and Miffy.
