Nitrate Games has revealed the first trailer and new details for its upcoming farm simulator, Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture, at New York Comic Con 2026. The game puts players in the roles of the iconic characters as they "build the best weed farm in town."
Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture aims to offer a humorous and mature take on the farming simulation genre. Players will be responsible for building, cultivating, and expanding their cannabis operation. The game will also feature interactions with familiar characters from Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse and an original story penned by Ernie Altbacker, known for his work on animated films like Batman: Hush and Justice League Dark.
Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have been actively involved in the project's creative process. "Since Jay and Silent Bob are the stars of this hilarious growing game, I cannot wait to play with myself!," stated Kevin Smith. "Many thanks to Nitrate Games for taking my little animals to this crossing and making them Stars Dew a Valley!"
Nitrate Games co-founder Montana Sommese described Joint Venture as a continuation of Kevin Smith's cinematic universe, with the game's narrative picking up where the films left off, effectively serving as a sequel. Players will have the opportunity to befriend and interact with characters from Smith's filmography. Nitrate Games plans to expand the game's narrative over time with updates that build upon the established cinematic universe.
Other characters confirmed to appear include Dante, Randal, and Veronica from Clerks; Brodie and T.S. Quint from Mallrats; Holden, Banky, Hooper, and Alyssa from Chasing Amy; Azrael and Serendipity from Dogma; Becky & Elias from Clerks II; and Mooby.
Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture is currently entering its playtesting phase, with an anticipated release in late Spring 2027 for PC via Steam. A console release is also planned for 2027. Interested players can sign up for playtesting and wishlist the game.
