Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has seemingly hinted that Yelena Belova, portrayed by Florence Pugh, could make an appearance in the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Feige offered this suggestion during a special appearance at Bilibili World 2026 in Shanghai.
Feige stated that fans eager to see more of Yelena should "wait until Avengers: Doomsday," noting her significant role in that future project. However, he added that those unwilling to wait might see the character "a little bit sooner in the movies." While he did not explicitly name Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the timing and context suggest it as a likely candidate, as it is the only standalone Marvel hero film scheduled before the next Avengers movie's December release.
Given the limited number of Marvel television series slated for release in 2026, including X-Men '97, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, and VisionQuest, speculation points towards Spider-Man: Brand New Day as the most plausible venue for Yelena's potential cameo. This would place her in the same film featuring Tom Holland's Spider-Man, alongside confirmed appearances from Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and Michael Mando as Scorpion. Sadie Sink is also rumored to play a new version of Jean Grey.
Trailers and promotional materials released thus far have not shown Yelena Belova. This suggests that if she does appear, her role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day may be brief. The film is set to release on July 31, 2026.
