Warhorse Studios may be preparing to announce its next game, tentatively titled Kingdom Come: Salvation, according to a trademark filing discovered by Phrasemaker. The filing, submitted to the European Union's Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on July 23rd, features a graphic that matches the font used for the existing Kingdom Come intellectual property. While Warhorse Studios is not explicitly named in the filing, the application originates from the Czech Republic, where the studio is based, and lists categories such as "computer gaming software" and "entertainment services for matching users with computer games."

Hints of Online Play

Beyond the basic game software and matching services, the trademark filing includes wording that suggests potential online connectivity. Phrases such as "provision of on-line computer games," "game services provided online from a computer network," and "electronic games services provided by means of a global communication network" hint at the possibility of multiplayer features. This could manifest as cooperative gameplay or player-versus-player arenas, a notable potential shift for Warhorse, a studio known for its single-player experiences.

The studio has previously described its next project as "a new Kingdom Come adventure" and "a Kingdom Come open-world RPG," descriptions that do not preclude multiplayer elements.

Potential Release Window

Warhorse Studios' communications director, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, indicated in a community stream that the next Kingdom Come game could be released within the studio's next fiscal year. He stated that "if everything goes right, [the next Kingdom Come game] comes next fiscal year," adding that players "don't have to wait seven years for another Kingdom Come." Given that Warhorse is currently in fiscal year 26/27, the subsequent fiscal year runs from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2028. This timeline suggests a potential release date within that period.

The developer's previous title, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has achieved significant success, selling over five million copies. The studio is also reportedly working on a Kingdom Come film.
