Fortnite's highly anticipated collaboration with Kingdom Hearts, which was expected to bring Sora to the battle royale, has reportedly been delayed. While Epic Games confirmed the collaboration and teased Sora's appearance with his Keyblade in promotional materials for Chapter 7 Season 4, his debut has not yet occurred.

Leakers have indicated that assets for the Keyblade, a reskin of the Typhoon Blade, were updated in the game files prior to the v42.10 patch, suggesting an imminent release. However, the patch went live without any official announcement or appearance of the Kingdom Hearts content.

Further speculation points to the collaboration having been initially planned for this past weekend, with evidence emerging from a Rocket League event. Dataminers believe the delay means fans will have to wait until the next Fortnite update, possibly on Thursday, September 17, to access Kingdom Hearts-themed items. In the interim, many of the cosmetics intended for Fortnite, and which are also appearing in Rocket League, have been revealed, offering players a preview of the customization options to come.
