In an interview with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz, Harington clarified that while his character was introduced with the potential for future appearances, no concrete plans for a Midnight Sons film involving him have been communicated. He described his role in Eternals as an instance where Marvel "throw[s] a character in and see[s] if it goes anywhere, and in the end it didn't."
Despite the lack of confirmed development, Harington expressed continued interest in the Black Knight, calling him "a really interesting character." He noted the potential for a compelling narrative exploring the character's darker side, particularly with the Ebony Blade and its connection to bloodlust, suggesting a compelling hero-to-villain arc. Harington indicated openness to revisiting the role if Marvel were to pursue such a story.
