Lana Del Rey Eager to Play GTA 6 After Contributing to Soundtrack

Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, known for her hit song "Video Games," is preparing to immerse herself in Rockstar Games' highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI. Del Rey revealed her anticipation in a conversation with Rolling Stone, stating, "On so many different levels this is super special and a privilege. Can’t wait to get into the game and start playing.”

Del Rey plays a role in GTA 6's in-game radio, co-hosting the Back Country Radio station alongside country music star Morgan Wallen, who voices the character MW. Del Rey's in-game persona is named Delta Dawne. Her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, will also contribute to the Back Country Radio station, lending his voice to the character Mud Dog Mike.

The game's soundtrack features a diverse range of artists, including appearances from musicians like Bad Bunny and Kerry King and Tom Arya of Slayer. Music has long been a significant element of the Grand Theft Auto series, and GTA 6 continues this tradition. Players will have the opportunity to listen to music within their vehicles and access podcasts through headphones while navigating the game's setting, Vice City.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has been in development since 2015, marking a long wait for fans.
