Riot Games' latest expansion for its League of Legends-themed card game, Riftbound Vendetta, has arrived, introducing new mechanics and collectible cards. The set focuses on rivalry and features unique gameplay elements such as Flow, which allows cards to be played from the discard pile, and Burn, which sends cards to the discard pile. A new card type, Unit Gear, blends units and gear, while Empower provides cards with buffs at a cost.

Following the set's launch, early market data from TCGplayer indicates that several cards are already commanding high prices, particularly alternate art and overnumbered variants of well-known League of Legends champions. These cards are expected to remain prominent and valuable.

Among the most expensive is Kai'Sa - Survivor, a reprint of her Origins card with a Crystal Rose alternative art, valued at approximately $120. Jayce - Man of Progress also sees a reprint with an overnumbered version fetching around $124. This version retains his ability to reduce the cost of gear cards when a friendly piece of gear is sacrificed.

Vi - Destructive, another Origins reprint, has an overnumbered variant selling for about $130. This card, costing 2 Energy and 1 Power, allows for recycling from the trash to increase its Might. Its popularity is likely boosted by her prominent role in the animated series Arcane.

Viktor - Innovator, also from Origins, features a new aesthetic in its alternative art version, priced similarly to Vi at $130, despite functionally matching cheaper versions of the card. The set also includes Ambessa - Matriarch of War, a new card for the Vendetta set, with an overnumbered version available for around $150. This card allows a unit to be readied for combat.

Kayle - Justified has an overnumbered version that is valued at $160. This card can be empowered up to three times, gaining Might and special abilities like Deflect 3 and Ganking.

Another new card, Ambessa - Respected and Feared, also sees an overnumbered variant priced at approximately $200. This card can gain Assault 2 when empowered and can eliminate weaker enemy units during an attack.

Akali - Rogue Assassin, a highly anticipated addition, has an overnumbered version selling for $220. This card allows for a friendly unit to be returned to base and readied when Akali is exhausted, reflecting her agile ninja persona and popular K/DA association.

Ahri - Inquisitive, a reprint from Origins with a Crystal Rose treatment reminiscent of the mobile game Wild Rift, is priced around $300, though its value is reportedly decreasing. Its appeal is amplified by Ahri's widespread recognition beyond the core League of Legends game.

The most expensive card in the Riftbound Vendetta set is Nasus - Curator of the Sands, the only card reaching the $300 mark. This card allows players to ready two runes when exhausted after playing a unit, gear, or ability costing 7 or more, adding sustained pressure similar to Nasus's signature Siphoning Strike ability in League of Legends.
