LEGO has officially announced a new building set dedicated to the iconic Batmobile from Tim Burton's 1992 film, Batman Returns. This marks the first time the unique vehicle from the sequel has been realized as a LEGO set.

The LEGO DC Batman: Batman Returns Batmobile (set 76355) comprises 2,269 pieces and is designed for builders aged 18 and up. It is set to launch on September 1 for LEGO Insiders members and on September 4 for the general public. The set will be available through LEGO stores and LEGO.com/Batmobile, retailing for $229.99 USD (£189.99 / €209.99).

This iteration of the Batmobile captures the film's distinctive design, characterized by its long, sleek body, a prominent jet turbine engine, and bat-wing-shaped fins at the rear. The set includes several hidden elements and easter eggs derived from the movie. Among these is a recreation of the tracking device deployed by the Penguin in the film.

A notable feature of the Batmobile in Batman Returns is its transformation into the Batmissile mode to navigate narrow spaces. The LEGO set replicates this capability, allowing builders to disengage the vehicle's side panels by pressing a button.

Accompanying the Batmobile is a single minifigure representing Michael Keaton's Batman. This figure is distinguished by its white-eyed appearance and new LEGO elements designed to accurately portray the cowl and cape worn by Keaton in the movie. The completed model measures over 4 inches (10 cm) high, 17 inches (45 cm) long, and 6.5 inches (17 cm) wide.
