LEGO has officially revealed two new construction sets inspired by the classic animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Both sets are currently available for preorder through the LEGO Store, with an official release date set for September 1.
The larger of the two is the LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom set, priced at $219.99. This expansive build comprises 1,794 pieces and recreates several iconic locations from the show. Included are SpongeBob's pineapple house and Squidward's moai-head residence, both featuring detailed multi-room interiors. Patrick Star's rock house is also present, albeit a single-room structure with internal details. The set also features a Jellyfish Fields scene, minifigures of the main characters, and elements from notable episodes, such as the boatmobile. The LEGO set incorporates Easter eggs for dedicated fans.
Joining the Bikini Bottom set is the smaller LEGO BrickHeadz SpongeBob SquarePants Figure, retailing for $12.99. This set contains 72 pieces and features the characteristic squared-off style of the BrickHeadz line. It comes with a net accessory, referencing SpongeBob's love for jellyfishing. This offering represents one of the more budget-friendly LEGO sets available.
These SpongeBob SquarePants sets are part of a larger wave of LEGO releases scheduled for August 1. That upcoming batch includes new LEGO Pokémon sets, a Boba Fett figure, an E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial set, a Kpop Demon Hunter set, and several Olivia Rodrigo-themed sets, indicating a busy period for LEGO enthusiasts.
