LEGO has unveiled a new microscale set, The Marvel Skyline, which recreates prominent buildings from the Marvel universe. The 1,261-piece set is available for preorder and will be released on January 1 for $99.99.
The set features miniature builds of well-known locations such as the Daily Bugle, Avengers Tower, the Baxter Building, and Fisk Tower. In addition to the structures, the set includes flying elements like the Avengers Quinjet, the Fantastic 4's Excelsior ship, and the X-Men's X-Jet. Smaller figures, including a microscale Human Torch and Spider-Man, are also part of the ensemble. A microscale Galactus minifigure is included, designed to appear large in comparison to the city skyline, fitting for the character.
LEGO The Marvel Skyline set was announced in conjunction with New York Comic-Con. This microscale approach requires a detailed design to render recognizable landmarks with a limited number of small pieces. The set aims to pack significant detail into a compact space.
For fans who prefer minifigure-scale builds, LEGO recently released the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower as part of its October releases. Other recent LEGO announcements include three Batman sets, featuring wall art of the Joker, and a selection of the best Marvel LEGO sets currently available.
