WB Games has announced that the forthcoming downloadable content for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, starring the Joker and Harley Quinn, will launch on September 18. The pack introduces new gameplay, fresh suits for the Bat-family, and an exclusive level focused on the iconic duo's escape from Arkham Asylum.

Players will be able to control the Joker and Harley Quinn in a new Arkham Asylum breakout mission, described as "a going-away party Gotham City won’t soon forget." Additionally, the pair will be featured in Mayhem Mode, a timed challenge where players race through Gotham, destroying landmarks and completing objectives while evading Task Force X members such as Deathstroke, Killer Croc, and Deadshot. The seven playable characters from the base game will also receive Joker-themed cosmetic suits, including Batman's Bat Who Laughs costume.

This DLC, along with a free update introducing an 'Absolute' difficulty setting, will be available on September 18. The 'Absolute' difficulty aims to surpass the existing 'Dark Knight' mode as the game's most challenging option. The new content is included in the deluxe edition of Legacy of the Dark Knight, which can be purchased as an upgrade for $24.99 for those who own the base game. The release date coincides with the launch of the game's Nintendo Switch 2 version.
