LEGO has officially unveiled its first Dragon Ball set, the LEGO Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku set. This 1,764-piece collection depicts the dragon Shenron emerging from the seven Dragon Balls, accompanied by a minifigure of Kid Goku riding his flying cloud, Kintoun.
The set is priced at $179.99 and will be available starting November 1 for LEGO Insiders members, with a wider release for all consumers on November 4. A free LEGO Insiders account can be created to gain early access.
Developed through a new partnership between LEGO and Toei Animation, the animation company behind the Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama, this set is designed for adult collectors aged 18 and up, emphasizing display over play. It features a buildable black base with the Dragon Ball logo for easy placement on shelves or desks.
At the base of the set, the seven orange Dragon Balls rest on small translucent pedestals, framed by lightning bolts on either side. Shenron coils dramatically upwards from the center, while the Kid Goku minifigure is suspended in the air on an adjustable LEGO arm, recreating a dynamic scene from the series. In the Dragon Ball narrative, the seven Dragon Balls are used to summon the eternal dragon who grants wishes.
