Lego has officially unveiled a new building set that pays homage to the original PlayStation console. The announcement was made during Sony's State of Play presentation, confirming earlier speculation about a potential collaboration. The set, comprised of 1,911 pieces, is designed to be nearly life-size, replicating the dimensions of the classic console.
The Lego PlayStation set includes a buildable console and a controller, complete with some of the original console's signature features, such as clicky buttons. To celebrate the PlayStation's anniversary and its legacy, the set incorporates small dioramas that represent iconic moments and games from the console's history, including nods to titles like Ape Escape and Gran Turismo.
A PlayStation Blog post provided further details about the set. It will be available for purchase on October 4 and is priced at $180.
