Lego Reveals Three New Batman Sets Arriving Early 2027

The Lego Company is expanding its Batman lineup with three new sets scheduled for release in early 2027. The upcoming collection features two distinct Batmobile models and a decorative piece centered on the Joker.

Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck Set

The first set, "Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck," recreates the iconic Batmobile from the 1992 film alongside the Penguin's duck-shaped vehicle. This Batmobile can transform into its Batmissile mode. While a Lego version of the Batman Returns Batmobile has been released previously, this iteration is more accessible than the larger, collector-focused edition. It includes 672 pieces and is priced at $59.99.

Arkham Batman Batmobile

A second Batmobile set, the "Arkham Batman Batmobile," draws inspiration from the vehicle featured in the 2015 video game Batman: Arkham Knight. This Batmobile features a tank-like design with functional suspension and comes with a Batman minifigure. This set consists of 317 pieces and will retail for $29.99.

The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover

The third announced set is "The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover," a buildable mural inspired by the cover of Detective Comics #880. This set is described as 3D wall art, with elements that extend beyond the picture frame. It is the most complex of the three, containing 1,849 pieces and priced at $169.99.

All three sets are slated for release on January 1, 2027. This follows the launch of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, an open-world video game released on May 22, which has received critical acclaim for its scope and similarities to the Arkham series. Lego and Batman have a long history, with some older Lego Batman sets from 2008 now fetching significantly higher prices on the secondary market than their original retail cost.
