Lego is set to retire a number of popular sets across various franchises, including highly sought-after Star Wars and Marvel builds, on December 31, 2026. This regular product cycle sees older sets discontinued to make way for new ones, often leading to increased prices on secondary markets.
Among the notable sets being retired is the expansive Millennium Falcon, described as the largest and most detailed Lego Star Wars model ever created. This 7,541-piece set, which retails for $849.99, has been in production since September 14, 2017, making it one of the longest-running sets to be discontinued.
Fans of mutantkind will also see the X-Men: The X-Mansion set discontinued. This 3,093-piece build, released on November 1, 2024, for $329.99, depicts the X-Mansion under siege by a Sentinel, with iconic characters like Professor X, Wolverine, and Storm. The set includes characters such as Professor X, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Jean Grey, Bishop, Gambit, and Cyclops, alongside Magneto.
DC Comics enthusiasts will lose the Batman Forever Batmobile set. This 909-piece recreation of the vehicle from the 1995 film is priced at $99.99. Another significant Star Wars addition heading for retirement is the Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. This massive 5,374-piece set, which launched on October 1, 2023, costs $649.99.
Finally, the Minecraft Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, inspired by the infamous 'Chicken Jockey' meme, will also be retired. This 491-piece set is available for $49.99, making it one of the more affordable options among those being discontinued.
