LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Icons Bookstore: Book Nook, a new set designed for adult builders that will be available starting October 1. With 1,690 pieces, this release stands as the largest book nook set LEGO has produced to date.

Unlike previous LEGO book nook releases, which often tied into popular franchises such as Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, the new bookstore set is entirely disconnected from any existing intellectual property. This marks a shift from LEGO's strategy of leveraging well-known IPs for its book nook line, aligning more closely with the broader market for such collectibles.

The LEGO Icons Bookstore: Book Nook is priced at $149.99. The cost reflects the significant piece count and the inclusion of subtle details and references to literature. The set includes two minifigures: one representing an author and another a reader. While not modeled after a specific real-world bookstore, the design aims to capture a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere.

LEGO has been expanding its book nook offerings since June 2025, releasing multiple sets and bookends. While the company previously had an advantage in creating licensed sets based on popular franchises, this new, original IP design broadens its approach within the book nook market. The company has noted that its adult-targeted sets can be both engaging to build and functional as display pieces.
