LEGO has officially announced its latest large-scale creation: the LEGO Icons Venetian Neighborhood set. This intricate model, comprising 5,682 pieces, depicts a vibrant Italian canal scene complete with buildings, a bridge, and numerous minifigures.
The set is slated for release on November 1 for LEGO Insiders and November 4 for the general public. It carries a price tag of $549.99, reflecting its substantial piece count and detail.
The LEGO Icons Venetian Neighborhood features several Italian-style buildings, including a luxury villa, a glassblowing workshop, and an astronomical clock tower. The design is modular, allowing builders to remove roofs and entire floors to showcase the detailed interiors. The set can also be split into two sections for alternative display arrangements.
Accompanying the architecture are 17 minifigures, such as gondoliers, musicians, and tourists. Two figures are dressed as carnival-goers with masks. A unique 3D-printed street piano piece is also included, alongside a long gondola designed to fit under the set's arched bridge.
Purchasers of the set at a LEGO Store will also receive the LEGO Icons Venetian Water Taxi set as a free Gift With Purchase. This smaller 322-piece set includes a water taxi, a dock, captain and tourist minifigures, and two pigeon figures.
This new set joins the LEGO Icons theme, which is geared towards adult builders and collectors, focusing on display pieces that include notable buildings, vehicles, and pop culture elements. Previous sets in this theme range from the large LEGO Titanic to figures from popular media.
The Venetian Neighborhood set is one of four LEGO sets announced for November. LEGO has not yet announced any new sets for December, though a traditional Black Friday release is anticipated.
