Lord of the Rings Stars Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom Join Netflix's The Gentlemen Season 3

Production is underway for the third season of Netflix's The Gentlemen, with several new cast members announced, including Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom, known for their iconic roles in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Guy Ritchie's action-comedy-crime drama, starring Theo James, will see the two actors, who played Frodo Baggins and Legolas respectively, share the screen for the first time since The Return of the King concluded in 2003.

Robert Carlyle, recognized for his roles in Trainspotting and television series like Once Upon a Time and Stargate: Universe, also joins the cast. Given the typical two-year gap between seasons, the third season of The Gentlemen is not expected to premiere until 2028.

In other Lord of the Rings-related news, Warner Bros. has confirmed that a spinoff film titled The Hunt for Gollum is in production, with Andy Serkis set to direct and reprise his role as the titular character. Elijah Wood will return as Frodo, and Ian McKellen will reprise his role as Gandalf. Jamie Dornan will portray Aragorn, taking over from Viggo Mortensen. Anya Taylor-Joy, Kate Winslet, and Leo Woodall are also part of the cast for The Hunt for Gollum, which is scheduled for a December 17, 2027 release. Amazon's The Rings of Power is set to return with its next season on November 11.
