Developers of the gacha game Love and Deepspace, Papergames, have issued a clarification regarding cocktail recipes recently posted online. The recipes, inspired by in-game slime characters such as Artsyblobbu, Fiendyblobbu, Pilotblobbu, Snowyblobbu, and Stellablobbu, were presented as fictional and intended for "in-game purposes only" after players raised concerns about potentially dangerous ingredients.
Some of the listed ingredients in the original posts included hallucinogens like Datura and toxic elements like colchicine. Players quickly warned the studio that attempting to recreate these concoctions could lead to harmful or even lethal outcomes. The developer's follow-up statement stressed that the drink recipes are "fictional" and explicitly not for real-world consumption.
The controversy surrounding the recipes emerged amidst ongoing community discussions, with some players hijacking the thread to demand the addition of a character named Valko to the game. This situation highlights the importance of critically evaluating content shared on social media, especially when it involves potentially hazardous substances.
