Madden NFL 27 is set to launch on Apple Arcade on August 6, bringing the popular football simulation to Apple's subscription gaming service. This version will feature core Madden gameplay, including all 32 NFL teams and dynamic player ratings that update weekly. Players can expect modes like Quick Play and Franchise to be present, playable with both touchscreen controls and external controllers.

A significant departure for the Apple Arcade edition is the exclusion of Madden Ultimate Team (MUT). This decision stems from Apple Arcade's policy against microtransactions, a fundamental element of MUT's card-collecting and pack-opening mechanics. As a result, the game will not feature any in-app purchases.

Madden NFL 27 joins a growing library on Apple Arcade, which has recently seen the addition of ad-free versions of popular App Store titles such as Dungeon Clawler+, Pocket City 2+, Creatures of the Deep+, and Draw It+. The service also recently added Family Feud Pocket, a mobile version of the game show featuring exclusive content.

Apple Arcade has become a destination for established franchises seeking to offer their experiences without microtransactions, with titles like NBA 2K26, PowerWash Simulator, Dredge, and Balatro already available to subscribers.
