Activision has revealed that Mads Mikkelsen, known for his roles in Casino Royale and Death Stranding, will voice a major antagonist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Mikkelsen's involvement was confirmed during a campaign trailer premiere at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast.
The game's campaign will focus on "the threat of a weapon that could overturn the world order in the hands of the villainous Archer," according to an official press release. This character appears to be Mikkelsen's.
The narrative follows Captain Price on the run after the assassination of General Shepherd in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Task Force 141 has been disbanded, leading to internal conflict within the group as Ghost questions Price's methods. Meanwhile, an unknown weapon of war is being delivered to The Archer, posing a significant global threat.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is slated for release on October 23. Players who pre-order the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition will receive early access to the campaign beginning October 16.
