This announcement follows Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks' confirmation last year of a KPop Demon Hunters Secret Lair in development, alongside a partnership with Netflix for KPop Demon Hunters merchandise. Cocks previously highlighted the success of previous Secret Lair releases, such as the SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration, and expressed confidence in the game's ability to integrate various intellectual properties.
The “Corn Maze” teasers hint at a Halloween theme, with imagery of a corn maze at night. However, closer inspection reveals specific clues to the crossovers. One image features a magpie, a clear reference to Sussie, a companion character from KPop Demon Hunters. This suggests the inclusion of characters or themes from the animated series.
The inclusion of Marvel is not surprising, given Wizards of the Coast's ongoing collaborations with the publisher, which have previously included Secret Lair sets like "Marvel Super Heroes" and "Marvel’s Spider-Man."
