Wizards of the Coast has unveiled a lineup of upcoming Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drops for 2026, featuring collaborations with Stardew Valley, Hatsune Miku, Marvel Super Heroes, The Hobbit, and more. The announcements were made at MagicCon Amsterdam, where the Secret Lair team presented previews of the collector-focused product line.

The Stardew Valley collaboration will include three distinct drops. One will feature a mechanically unique land card also named Stardew Valley, capable of producing Food tokens or exchanging mana for card draw. Another drop will showcase artwork by Eric Barone, the developer of Stardew Valley. All three Stardew Valley drops are slated for release on July 27.

Hatsune Miku, the virtual pop idol, will be the focus of a Commander deck designed to emulate the experience of attending one of her concerts. This drop is scheduled to go on sale on August 10.

Fans of The Hobbit will see a Secret Lair drop that includes an Arcane Heist card with a special foil treatment to represent Bilbo's invisibility. This release will also feature a Stony Silence card illustrated by Jordan Speer and seven Food tokens themed around Hobbit meals. This drop is set for August 17.

The Marvel Super Heroes will be represented in multiple drops. One, titled "Earth's Mightiest Pets," will highlight famous Marvel animals. Another "romance" drop will feature iconic Marvel couples, including Thanos and Lady Death on a Grave Pact card. A Hulk-themed drop will explore the Green Goliath's comic book history, and a Dan Hipp drop will showcase the distinct artistic style of that particular Marvel artist.

Further collaborations include a Lofi Girl drop, inspired by the popular YouTube channel known for its relaxing music streams. Artist Gene Luen Yang will also receive a dedicated Secret Lair, with cards inspired by Journey to the West. Additional artist-focused drops will feature the work of Robin Eisenberg and Ian Miller, the latter of whom has contributed to Magic: The Gathering since the Mirage set and will write flavor text for his cards.

All the Marvel drops, the Lofi Girl drop, and the artist-focused drops are scheduled to go on sale on August 26. Art from a yet-unannounced Masters of the Universe Secret Lair superdrop was also teased, drawing inspiration from both the comics and the original animated series.

Secret Lair continues to be a popular, albeit sometimes contentious, product due to its limited print runs. Wizards of the Coast has been experimenting with the format, as seen with a recent print-on-demand charity drop and a new bundle for WPN shops.
