Wizards of the Coast's Magic: The Gathering is venturing into the Star Trek universe with its latest expansion, available for preorder now. This crossover set marks the final mainline release and Universes Beyond installment for 2026, coinciding with the iconic science fiction franchise's 60th anniversary.

This expansion introduces new gameplay mechanics while also revisiting established ones, such as the Spacecraft artifact subtype, featured on cards like the U.S.S. Enterprise-D, Galaxy-Class. A notable addition is the introduction of Autograph cards, which are exceptionally rare alternate art creature cards featuring handwritten autographs from actors portraying characters like Captain Kirk and Captain Janeway. These autographs will be limited to just over 200 copies worldwide and will only be found within Collector booster packs.

Several product types are available for players to acquire cards from the Star Trek set. Play boosters contain 15 cards from the main set, designed for regular gameplay. Collector boosters, on the other hand, are geared towards collectors, offering rare alternate art cards, foil treatments, and the exclusive Autograph cards.

The set also includes four preconstructed Commander decks, each led by a different iconic character: Captain Picard, Spock, Klingon, and Borg. These decks utilize three-color combinations. Collector's Editions of these Commander decks will also be available, featuring the full 100-card package with Surge foil treatments.

Bundles will return with the Star Trek expansion, including nine play boosters and foil cards. A special "Beam Me Up Bundle" will also be offered, containing all standard bundle contents plus a Collector booster and two "Beam Me Up" foil promo cards.

Two Scene Boxes are set to release, each representing significant moments from the Star Trek franchise. The Enterprise-Q Scene Box draws from a classic episode, while the Divergent Timeline Scene Box features the crew as depicted in the J.J. Abrams reboot films.

For newcomers to Magic: The Gathering or Star Trek fans looking to start playing, a Beginner Box is available, providing everything needed to learn the game and begin a collection.

Additionally, a "Draft Night" product offers a quicker alternative to traditional drafts, designed for a four-player Pick Two format. It includes 12 Play booster packs, one Collector booster, and 90 basic lands.
