Illyana Rasputin, known to X-Men fans as Magik, is set to headline a new five-issue limited series titled X-Orcists. This development marks another high-profile role for the character, whose popularity has surged in recent years through significant comic storylines, video game appearances, and other media.

The series, penned by Ashley Allen with art from Germán Peralta, is the third Illyana-focused project from this creative team. Following 2025's Magik and this year's Magik & Colossus, X-Orcists will see Magik teaming up with Juggernaut and Madelyne Pryor to confront a demon escaping from Limbo. The official synopsis hints at an unprecedented threat that will require unexpected alliances to defeat.

X-Orcists delves into the interconnected histories of its main characters and the dimension of Limbo. Magik, once a captive in Limbo, developed her powers and her iconic Soulsword there, eventually becoming its Queen. Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, also has ties to Limbo, having been corrupted by its demons and becoming the Goblin Queen. Juggernaut has his own history with the dimension, having been banished there previously. These intertwined pasts set the stage for their confrontation with the escaped demon.

While Magik, Juggernaut, and Madelyne Pryor are featured as the central figures, Marvel has suggested that other mystical heroes will make appearances in the series. The recently revealed character Repent, who is also referred to as the X-Orcist in official art, is a potential new ally. Repent is set to debut in Uncanny X-Men and may join Magik's team after assisting Gambit.

Fans looking to engage with Magik can currently play as the character in video games such as Marvel Rivals and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Additionally, the character is featured in Marvel's Midnight Suns, offering multiple ways to experience the mutant sorceress's adventures beyond the comic pages.
