Marvel Comics Announces New Captain Marvel Series and Daredevil Milestone

Marvel Comics made significant announcements during its "Bullpen Bulletins! With Stephen Wacker" panel at NYCC, revealing plans for a new ongoing Captain Marvel series and the milestone Daredevil #700, both slated for early 2027. The new Captain Marvel series will be helmed by writer G. Willow Wilson, who previously co-created Ms. Marvel.

This new Captain Marvel series will focus on Carol Danvers in the wake of the destructive events of Avengers: Armageddon. The summary provided states that Carol will be "grounded like never before" and must "challenge everything she thought she knew about being Captain Marvel—and break every rule along the way." A threat that has been "quietly assembling in the shadows of the Marvel Universe for decades" is also set to make its move. The series will feature art by Rachael Stott and is scheduled to debut in May 2027.

Daredevil will reach its 700th issue in March 2027. This oversized issue will include a main story by writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Lee Garbett, with a cover by veteran artist David Mack.

Additionally, Marvel teased the conclusion of a major Uncanny X-Men storyline titled "Soul Deep," along with a new spinoff miniseries, X-Men: Regulators. X-Men: Regulators, written by Mikki Kendall and illustrated by Georges Jeanty, is set to launch in February 2027.
