NetEase Games has announced that the next phase of Marvel Rivals' "Path to Doomsday" event, themed around the MCU film Avengers: Age of Ultron, will launch on July 30. This marks the second major installment of the ongoing event, which is designed to build anticipation for the December release of Avengers: Doomsday.

The "Path to Doomsday — Avengers: Age of Ultron" mode will feature a new PvE (player versus environment) experience. Early trailers depict characters such as Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Hulk battling Ultron robots on a new Avengers Tower map. While specific details regarding the mode's structure, objectives, and rewards have not yet been fully disclosed by NetEase Games, the developer has indicated that story cinematics and dialogue will be included.

In addition to the new PvE content, the event brings themed character skins. Ultron and Scarlet Witch will receive cosmetics inspired by their appearances in the Age of Ultron film. Separate from the event, new skins for Spider-Man and Hulk will also be released on July 31, coinciding with the launch of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The first phase of the "Path to Doomsday" event, themed after the original Avengers movie, ran from late April through May. If the current "Age of Ultron" phase follows a similar duration, it is expected to be available until the end of August. Subsequent phases, focusing on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, are planned to be added before the theatrical release of Avengers: Doomsday, though details for these future phases have not been revealed.
