Marvel Rivals is introducing a new limited-time event that allows players to recreate the climactic final battle from Avengers: Endgame. The "Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame" event, scheduled to begin on October 24, will pit 50 players against a massive Thanos and his alien forces.
This new mode positions Thanos as a raid boss, significantly larger than the standard heroes to accommodate a large number of players engaging him simultaneously. He will wield massive area-of-effect abilities, capable of damaging dozens of players at once, including an aerial strike from his ship that can eliminate entire groups. It remains to be seen how coordinated the 50 players will need to be to overcome the threat, or if Thanos will function primarily as a large, durable target.
Upon victory, players will witness a scene inspired by Endgame's conclusion, with Tony Stark using the Infinity Gauntlet to defeat Thanos. The event coincides with the anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday and continues Marvel Rivals' trend of incorporating significant moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into its gameplay.
