NetEase Games has officially unveiled the details for Marvel Rivals' tenth season, confirming the arrival of Gorr the God Butcher and showcasing his immediate impact on the game's narrative. The announcement trailer depicts Gorr attacking Asgard and engaging in a brutal battle with Loki, culminating in the God of Mischief's apparent demise. This in-game event is directly reflected in the current roster, where Loki is marked as deceased and unavailable for play.

Gorr the God Butcher is set to become playable on September 11, coinciding with the launch of season 10. He is classified as a duelist, the game's equivalent of a damage-per-second hero. Gorr's primary weapon, All-Black the Necrosword, possesses the ability to transform into various forms depending on the combat scenario. Upon defeating enemies, Gorr can summon phantom Black Berserkers to continue the assault. His kit also includes traversal abilities such as dashing and teleportation, with his ultimate enhancing All-Black for a powerful offensive barrage.

The new season will also introduce the domination map, God Quarry. A cosmetic event, Jeff's Dream Eater, will offer a collection of pajama-themed outfits for various heroes. Despite previous speculation about the addition of more X-Men characters in the latter half of season 10, NetEase has confirmed that Gorr will be the sole new hero for this season. The second half of season 10 will instead focus on progressing the Path to Doomsday event, which features new game modes inspired by MCU Avengers films.
