Marvel's Wolverine Player Discovers Unfinished Areas Via Glitch

A player has found a way to break free from the confines of Marvel's Wolverine's levels and explore larger, unfinished areas of its game world. YouTuber Turned showcased the glitch in a video demonstrating how to climb out of the level geometry during the "One That Got Away" mission. By timing jumps correctly on a specific building, players can access sections of the map that Insomniac Games did not intend for them to see.

These out-of-bounds areas include undeveloped woods and parts of a small town. Some sections are not fully rendered, and players can even fall through the ground. While these areas do not appear to trigger combat encounters or mission objectives, they offer a glimpse into the environmental details Insomniac developed. This discovery comes despite the game's intentionally more linear design compared to Insomniac's open-world Spider-Man titles.

Turned also posted a separate video highlighting a similar glitch in the game's Tokyo section. This exploration revealed some of the "video game magic" used to create the illusion of a lived-in world, such as cars that appear to drive on visible streets but then despawn or drive into walls in areas inaccessible to the player. While Marvel's Wolverine is not an open-world game, these glitches provide a look at what a larger, more explorable environment within the game might have entailed, showcasing otherwise unnoticed environmental details.
