Arc System Works has revealed the upcoming downloadable content roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, confirming Jane Foster Thor will arrive this winter. Two additional characters, Venom and Jubilee, are slated for release in spring and summer 2027, respectively.
The developer announced the lineup at Evo France 2026. Jane Foster Thor will follow Phoenix Cyclops, who is scheduled to launch on November 2, 2026. A brief glimpse of Jane Foster Thor's in-game model was shown in Odin's Vault. While the clip did not display gameplay, it suggested an encounter with Loki while wielding Mjolnir, with a full gameplay trailer expected at a later date.
Venom, the Spider-Man antagonist, and Jubilee, a member of the X-Men, are confirmed for spring and summer 2027. Unlike the more specialized versions of Cyclops and Thor, Venom and Jubilee are expected to be more straightforward interpretations of the characters. Venom's inclusion will also feature a new stage based on the Symbiote homeworld, Klyntar.
These characters are part of the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, available for $34.99. The additions come amid ongoing efforts by Arc System Works to regain player trust following a troubled PC launch for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Despite receiving strong reviews at launch, including a 9/10 from IGN, the PC version on Steam was met with mixed player reviews due to technical issues and mandatory PlayStation Network requirements.
Arc System Works released a patch shortly after launch that addressed many of the PC version's problems. However, the game's Steam player count has struggled to consistently exceed 1,000 concurrent users, according to SteamDB. Director Kazuto Sekine has acknowledged the difficulty in rebuilding trust after the initial launch issues and has apologized for the PC version's performance. The developers have outlined plans for balance changes and continue to work on improving the game.
