The open beta for Arc System Works' superhero fighting game, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, will be available to play for free on PC and PlayStation 5 from July 24 to July 26. The beta period begins at 12 a.m. PDT, 7 a.m. UTC, and 4 p.m. JST, running for a total of 72 hours.

Players can download the beta directly from their respective digital storefronts without needing to pre-register. Access on both PC and PS5 requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account, though a PlayStation Plus subscription is not necessary for PS5 players.

The beta will feature 15 of the game's 20-character launch roster, including characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Storm, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom. Players will also be able to experience six different stages: Marvel's New York (available in day and night versions), Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere, and Wakanda.

Available modes in the open beta include ranked and casual matches, a practice mode, an explorable open lobby, and the first three episodes of the Amazing Guardian story campaign.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to officially release on August 6 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
