The open beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which concluded over the weekend, was significantly hampered by performance and gameplay issues on PC. Developers Arc System Works have acknowledged the problems and issued an apology to players affected by the experience.
Following initial PlayStation Network disruptions, the studio addressed the PC version's difficulties via social media. "We’re aware of the gameplay and performance issues currently affecting the PC version of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls," Arc System Works stated. "Our team is actively investigating these issues and working on a fix. We’ll share an update as soon as we have more information."
Arc System Works also shared a series of troubleshooting steps suggested by the community. These included advice such as running the shader warm-up at launch, adjusting display and Nvidia settings, disabling game recording software, and verifying game files to address potential anti-cheat errors on Steam. However, the developers stressed that these were not officially confirmed fixes and that results could vary depending on individual PC configurations.
A feedback survey has been made available for players who encountered issues, with the aim of helping the studio mitigate problems ahead of the game's full release on August 6th. The limited availability of the game in certain countries, likely due to PlayStation Network account requirements, remains a point of note.
