Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has seen a reduction in the number of countries where it is barred from purchase on Steam. According to SteamDB listings, the game is now unavailable in 117 countries, down from a previous total of 132.

This change means that 15 countries have been removed from the list of excluded nations. The shift is potentially linked to the game's requirement for a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to access certain features, particularly online play and pre-order bonuses. Several of the newly accessible countries are located in Eastern Europe and Western Asia, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Serbia, and Uzbekistan. Outliers like the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Estonia have also been removed from the restricted list.

Despite this progress, some nations remain subject to restrictions, with the Vatican City State notably still being barred from purchasing the game. For regions where PSN is not supported, players have previously reported being able to view the Steam page for Marvel Tokon, even if a purchase was not possible.

As the game's release date of August 6th approaches, it remains to be seen whether further countries will be removed from the restricted list. The game's single-player story mode was written by an as-yet-unnamed individual.
