Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Year One DLC Roster Revealed

Arc System Works has fully revealed the roster for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls' upcoming Year One DLC pass, confirming that Jane Foster's Thor, Venom, and Jubilee will be joining the previously announced Phoenix Cyclops. The new fighters are set to release through Summer 2027, continuing the game's post-launch support.

Phoenix Cyclops, a variant of the X-Men leader imbued with the Phoenix Force, was the first DLC character announced and is scheduled to join the game on November 2nd. The subsequent additions expand the game's roster with significant Marvel characters. Jane Foster, who wielded Mjolnir as Thor in the comics starting in 2014, offers a new take on the Asgardian powerhouse. Her inclusion addresses the absence of Thor from the game's initial Avengers lineup.

The Year One pass also features the debut of Venom, who appears to be Eddie Brock based on his design, and Jubilee, a popular mutant making her first fighting game appearance. Venom's addition is accompanied by Klyntar, the symbiote homeworld, as the game's first new stage. Jubilee's inclusion marks her transition from an assist character in previous Marvel fighting games to a fully playable fighter.

The DLC characters are slated for staggered releases. Jane Foster is expected in Winter, followed by Venom in Spring, and Jubilee in Summer. This rollout plan suggests a gradual expansion of the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls roster over the next year and a half. The illustration revealing the Year One lineup was created by artist Peach Momoko, known for her work on the Ultimate X-Men comic series.
