Mattel has revealed its first entry in the new DC Premium figure line: the DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set. This collectible marks Mattel's renewed engagement with DC character licenses, following their recent acquisition of the DC figure rights.
The figure itself is a 6.5-inch tall representation of Batman as depicted in the 2002-03 "Batman: Hush" comic storyline, inspired by Jim Lee's artwork. It boasts 34 points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses. The set includes a fabric cape with wiring for shaping, interchangeable hands, a rooftop diorama base with a functional water tower for mist effects, and a light-up Bat-Signal accessory.
"We are incredibly proud to bring DC back to Mattel, marking an exciting new chapter with the debut of Batman: Hush," said Nick Karamanos, General Manager & Head of Entertainment Partnerships, Action Figures and Preschool Entertainment at Mattel. "We know there has been tremendous anticipation for this launch, and we’re excited to deliver what fans expect from a Mattel action figure — the very best."
The DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set is priced at $100 and is available for order on the Mattel Creations website. The set will also be showcased at NYCC at booth #4365.
Mattel has announced plans to reveal future DC Premium figures during a livestream event scheduled for January 1, 2027. This debut follows Mattel's release of kid-focused "DC Core" figures, signaling a push towards higher-end collectibles for adult collectors.
