Prime Video has announced that Matthew Needham, known for his role as Larys Strong in House of the Dragon, will voice The Joker in the upcoming second season of Batman: Caped Crusader. The revelation was made during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The series, created by Bruce Timm, Matt Reeves, and J.J. Abrams, presents a noir-inspired take on Batman's early years. The official description from Prime Video highlights Batman's transformation after tragedy into a relentless vigilante waging war against overwhelming odds.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 is set to launch alongside the Amazon Prime exclusive game, Batman: Caped Crusader - Chronicles, on July 31. The game is described as an Amazon Luna exclusive and will be available to Prime members.

Joining Needham for Season 2 are returning voice cast members Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel, Jason Watkins as Alfred Pennyworth, Eric Morgan Stuart as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Krystal Joy Brown as Barbara Gordon, Michelle C. Bonilla as Renee Montoya, and Bumper Robinson as Lucius Fox.
