Meccha Chameleon, the social hide-and-seek game that gained significant traction, has achieved another sales milestone, selling over 15 million copies in less than 30 days.
This latest figure marks a substantial increase from its previous accomplishment of 10 million sales in just 16 days. The game's developer expressed gratitude to its player base on its Steam store page, while also teasing an upcoming collaboration with a "famous Japanese star" set to be revealed next week.
Meccha Chameleon has garnered considerable popularity, evidenced by its overwhelmingly positive reception on Steam, with more than 85 percent of its over 45,300 reviews being favorable. The game is priced at £5.29, positioning it as an accessible option compared to many higher-priced titles.
Following its seven million unit sales, the developer had previously introduced a Japan-themed map to the game. Meccha Chameleon is part of a recent trend of successful social cooperative games, drawing parallels with titles such as Lethal Company and Among Us.
