Mega Man: Dual Override will receive new amiibo figures for both Mega Man and Proto Man, coinciding with the game's release in Spring 2027 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This marks Mega Man's second amiibo release, following his debut figure associated with the Super Smash Bros. series. Proto Man will also receive his first amiibo figure.
The gameplay reveal for Mega Man: Dual Override during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation offered a first look at Proto Man's mechanics. A key difference highlighted is his use of a shield for both defensive maneuvers and offensive attacks. The game is slated for a Spring 2027 release on Nintendo's current and next-generation consoles.
