Mega Man: Dual Override made an appearance during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation, offering a first look at Proto Man's gameplay mechanics. Proto Man's signature ability involves the use of a shield, which serves a dual purpose for both defense and offensive maneuvers.
The game is slated for release on both the Nintendo Switch and its successor, the Switch 2, in Spring 2027. In conjunction with the game's launch, Capcom will also be releasing new amiibo figures. Both Mega Man, receiving his second amiibo figure after his original in the Super Smash Bros. series, and Proto Man will be available as collectible figures on the same day the game releases.
