Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex, is reportedly considering a return to acting. This comes after a significant break from performing, which began following her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry.

According to reports, Markle has been "offered a role in an upcoming project based in the U.K.," though details regarding the specific role or production remain undisclosed. This news emerges shortly after widespread reports that the couple plans to relocate to the U.K. for an extended period after six years residing in California.

During their time in the United States, Markle participated in various documentary and lifestyle series but avoided taking on new acting roles. Her acting career prior to royal life included guest appearances on shows like Knight Rider, Fringe, 90210, and CSI: Miami. Her most notable role was Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits, a part she played from 2011 to 2018. It was during the filming of Suits that she met Prince Harry.

Markle's tenure as a working member of the Royal Family shifted her focus to official duties alongside Prince Harry, sidelining her acting pursuits. Even after the couple stepped back from royal life to live in the U.S., she had not returned to acting.

There have been no indications that the Sussexes' potential return to the U.K. will involve a resumption of royal duties. The couple is expected to reside in a private home. This reported move follows a recent visit to the U.K. in July to see Prince Harry's father, King Charles III. A royal source indicated that King Charles was unaware of the move prior to the last weekend but welcomes the opportunity for private family time.
