Kojima Productions' 2008 title, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, originally conceived as Hideo Kojima's final entry in the stealth series, is once again accessible to players. The game, which aimed to conclude decades of interwoven narratives featuring characters like Solid Snake, Ocelot, Otacon, and Raiden, focused on an aging Solid Snake's race against his twin brother, Liquid Snake.
Guns of the Patriots garnered critical acclaim for its narrative, cinematic presentation, and advancements in stealth mechanics, particularly the OctoCamo suit that allowed Snake to blend with his surroundings. The game also received a perfect 10/10 review score from Game Informer. Its reappearance is made possible through the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
Game Informer is undertaking a "Super Replay" series for Guns of the Patriots, featuring series newcomer Charles Harte experiencing the title for the first time and long-time fan Marcus Stewart revisiting it after more than a decade. The weekly streams began live on Twitch and YouTube at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET and are scheduled to continue for two hours each week until completion. Episodes are also available on YouTube following their live broadcast.
