Kojima Productions' 2008 release, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, originally intended as Hideo Kojima's final word on the Metal Gear series, is once again accessible. The game's narrative aimed to conclude the decades-long story of characters like Solid Snake, Ocelot, Otacon, and Raiden, centering on an aging Solid Snake's race against his nemesis, Liquid Snake.

Guns of the Patriots was met with critical acclaim for its narrative, cinematic presentation, and advancements in stealth gameplay, notably the OctoCamo suit which allowed players to mimic surface textures. The title also achieved a rare perfect 10/10 score from Game Informer. Players can now experience Metal Gear Solid 4 through the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, eliminating the need for a PlayStation 3.

A special "Super Replay" stream event is underway to revisit the game. Charles Harte, new to the Metal Gear series, is playing Guns of the Patriots via the Master Collection for the first time, accompanied by long-time fan Marcus Stewart, who is revisiting the title after more than a decade. The stream began on Twitch and YouTube, airing at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET. The event is scheduled to continue weekly for two hours per session until the game's conclusion, with the first episode titled "Charles Goes in Blind."
